You’re likely a great candidate for a brow lift with Dr. Rosen if you’re looking to:

  • Gently lift a drooping brow
  • Restore the youthful arch of the eyebrows
  • Open up the eye area
  • Reduce forehead wrinkles and crow's feet

Brow Lift Alternatives: What Are My Options?

There are many variations in brow lift surgery and several related procedures. One minimally invasive technique called the endoscopic brow lift uses small incisions and a special viewing instrument to elevate a drooping brow.

Other techniques that may be appropriate include the coronal lift, pretrichial lift, mid-forehead lift, direct brow lift, and internal brow lift. During your preoperative consultations, you and Dr. Rosen will work together to pick the right technique.

Endoscopic Brow Lift Philadelphia

The endoscopic brow lift surgery is a minimally-invasive procedure that can rejuvenate your forehead and eyebrow area.

Dr. Rosen performs the endoscopic brow lift to:

  • Restore a youthful arch in the eyebrows
  • Reduce forehead furrows and wrinkles
  • Open up the area around the eyes
  • Elevate a drooping brow

The term "endoscopic" refers to the small viewing instrument that is used during surgery. Dr. Rosen inserts a small camera beneath the tissue to see the underlying structure, enabling him to perform the procedure with smaller surgical incisions, thereby reducing the surgery time and decreasing the risk for certain complications.

Is the Endoscopic Brow Lift Right For Me?

During your consultation, Dr. Rosen will work with you to pick out the technique that’s best for you. If you have any of the following conditions, the endoscopic brow lift will aim to correct them:

  • Glabellar creases or furrows
  • Asymmetric brow
  • Descended brow
  • Crow’s feet
  • Misshaped brow

How the Brow Lift Procedure Works

This procedure requires one to two hours of operating time, typically under local anesthesia, but general anesthesia is also an option. Your face will be thoroughly cleansed and your hair tied back behind the hairline before Dr. Rosen makes a precise incision behind the hairline.

Your forehead skin will be gently lifted and trimmed, and the underlying tissues will be altered for a smoother appearance. The brow elevation will be fixated with special titanium screws, and the incisions will be closed with stitches or clips, with a soft, absorbent dressing applied to the treatment area.

How the Endoscopic Brow Lift Works

Your endoscopic brow lift procedure will be highly individualized, achieving an elevated brow that matches your natural facial anatomy. Procedure time is approximately 1 to 2 hours, usually under local anesthesia with sedation.

First, we cleanse your face and trim or tie your hair back. Dr. Rosen makes 4-5 small incisions about 2 centimeters behind the hairline. With the aid of the endoscope, he lifts the forehead skin. He then alters or removes tissues to produce a smoother appearance in the brow. The brow is elevated and secured. The incisions are then closed with stitches or clips and a dressing is applied.

After Your Brow Lift: What You Will Experience

After your brow lift surgery with Dr. Rosen, you’ll rest and relax for about a week to 10 days before resuming your normal routine. Within three days, you’ll be able to shower and shampoo your hair, and medications will help you manage your discomfort during this time. Your stitches or staples will be removed within the first week. During recovery from brow lift surgery, it is common to experience some numbness, nausea, and mild swelling. After three weeks, almost all signs of surgery will be gone, with your results lasting as long as five to 10 years.
